Inspired to Ramble...

I was inspired to do a rambling post on here by my dear, English friend. :D You know who you are. ;)

Photos: Have no fears, a photo post is in the making! At least the pre-stages of a making. :D I just need to upload the photos from the last few days before I can really post a photo post. Hopefully, I can work on that tonight! :D So be on the lookout!

Weather: We've had such a wet, cool summer...it's hard to believe that summer is practically over! I mean, it feels like we haven't had much of a summer at all!

Work: It's been good...busy, but slowing down the tiniest bit since the Summer Reading Club is ending, school will be starting up soon, and the Project Bread lunch program is over. *phew* I helped teach a sewing class this summer at the library, and that just ended this past Wednesday. However, my boss' daughter and I will be teaching one class this upcoming week on making patchwork pillows. Fun! Hopefully we'll have a few people sign up.
I had a British guy come into the library the other day! Squee! :D I LOVED his accent! His card told me that he lives part of the year here in the U.S. and the other part in Europe. *swoon* Imagine how cool that'd be!

Family: We've been good...still have our fair share of quarrels and such, but no sickness for a good while now! YAAAAAAAY! God has really blessed us with that! It's such a relief, after having been sick so often this past winter and spring! Hopefully, we'll have a good winter this year! :D
We've had alot of birthdays coming and going! Juliana is 2! GOSH! Wasn't it just a few days ago that she was born?? O_O Now she's 2, quite the toddler with her increasing vocabulary, her cute smiles, funny antics, potty training, cuddling, and all-together adorable cutie...besides being just a wee bit spoiled. Heh. ;)

Writing: My children's lit. course has been going fine...working on wrapping up assignment 8 now! Only 3 (or is it 4?) more assignments! Eep! I would really like to write a "young" children's book with illustrations...perhaps I could convince my brother to do the illustrations...hmm...

Piano: I've only been practicing off and on this summer...been too busy to really focus on it. I AM learning "The River Flows in You" by Yiruma right now, which is really popular right now because of the "Twilight" soudntrack. Blech. To my credit, I listened and loved this piece BEFORE the movie "Twilight" came out! So there! :P

Vacation: Went to NY and stayed with 11 other girls!! That's quite a story, which I will tell soon! :D Just not right now. :D

Books: I'm currently reading a very interesting WWII book called "Time of Storm"...as well as re-reading "Inkheart". *sigh* :D I've got huge stacks of books to read, and so little time to do any actual reading. I've only been getting snatches here and there! Phooey!

Calamities!: My earbuds have broken. EAGH! I'm going beserk being able to only hear out of one earbud...I can't believe I lasted four whole days without my ipod. (THE DRAMA! :P) The washing machine and dryer have given us trouble BEYOND trouble this year. Blech. The latest idea that popped into Mr. Dryer's head? "OH! OH! Let's take bites out of people's clothes and leave holes!" O_O I kid you not! Happily, we have purchased a new dryer and washing machine that should arrive next week. YAY! For now, we've been hanging clothes on the clothes line.

Music: Bethany Dillon AND BarlowGirl have new albums coming out soon! EEEEEEEP! :D Can't wait! I have recently discovered several artists who have made my "favorites" list. :D They include: William Jospeh, Cadia, Kari Jobe, Meredith Andrews, Seabird, Jessie Daniels, and Lanae' Hale. :D

Crafts: I have been knitting a kimono-style sweater for myself which is coming along slowly...I've run out of yarn and need to buy some more. :P It shall be blue and pink. *nods* I am planning on buying 3 sewing patterns soon! One for a Medieval dress, another for a winter Regency gown, and lastly an Edwardian tea gown. :D After I receive my patterns, I hope to go fabric shopping and start working on the Regency gown! Yay! Hopefully it won't be too hard to do on my own! I tried my hand at beading and loved it! :D I hope to do more this fall! I was inspired by all the jewelry a friend makes so beautifully!
